Star Awards
WHAT: Star Awards 2012
WHY: To recognize companies who have made significant progress in meeting the objectives of the 7 Benchmarks.
WHO: All Working Well Member companies are eligible and are encouraged to apply. In addition, one award will be presented to an individual who has significantly changed lifestyle habits and thereby improved his/her health as a result of the member company’s wellness program. In doing so, this person has been an inspiration to coworkers and others.You may nominate as many employees as you believe might be worthy of such recognition.
LEVELS OF AWARDS: Because companies are in various stages of meeting the objectives of the 7 Benchmarks, we have established three levels of awards: Rising Star, Shining Star, and Shooting Star. These levels build on each other; in other words, to get the Shining Star, you must also meet the criteria for Rising Star and to get the Shooting Star, you must meet the criteria for Shining Star (and Rising Star).
JUDGING: A committee from the Working Well board will review the applications and evaluate companies against the 7 Benchmarks of a successful working well program. Each worksite submitting an application will be evaluated against the award criteria—not each other.
WHEN: Get started now. Deadline is Friday, December 30, 2011. Awards presented at the 6th Annual Working Well CEO Breakfast in January 2012.
